If you want someone who has volunteered in and knows their way around city hall, someone who has worked with and understands the Land Development Regulations (LDR’s) and has applied them a variety of real cases before the city then I am your man.
If you want someone who has had extensive training, real-life experience at a large-scale level and presented with teams of experts on the subject of hurricane disaster planning, response, recovery, and mitigation, on the city council, I'm your guy.
If you want someone who will take the time to do his homework and ask the hard questions on complex issues and, take the hard questions on city council, I'm your guy. – my reputation on Planning Commission was that of always having the facts and asking the hard questions – Just ask the former chair of that committee, Jeffrey Hill
If you want someone who has managed large, complex programs and multi-million dollar capital projects, much like the city council sees, I'm the guy for you.
If you want someone to act fairly, equitably and follow the city’s existing regulations when making decisions, I'm your guy.

o The preservation of neighborhoods.
o Safety and quality of life for residents -
residents of Galveston come first.
Ensure
o Consistency of application of the city’s developmental goals.
o Protection of historic and cultural resources.
o Island sustainability and that we are always prepared for the next tropical storm.
o Protection of the environment and our natural resources.
Promote
o Safe neighborhoods.
o Responsible economic growth.
o Local businesses and an environment that nurtures and encourages local entrepreneurship and investment.
o Safe, public events drawing responsible tourists to the island while protecting neighborhoods.
o The arts in all its forms, from music to murals across the island.
